Dr. Irving Cleghorn b. Aug. 22, 1863 at Moffat Dumfriesshire, SCT. Graduted U of Manitoba in 1894. Married Katherine Ann Murray who was b. Oct 31, 1868 at Lochaber Antigonish Co., Nova Scotia. Katherine had been a teacher in the Belmont, MB. She had been the first teacher in that school.
Dr. Cleghorn was practising medicine in Baldur for over 30 years.
They built a home at the corner of Elizabeth and Government Road.
Liberal in politics; elected representative of Mountain Constituency and was a sitting member until his death, Nov. 19, 1929. Katherine lived in Baldur after his death and passed away in Winnipeg July 17, 1955. Both are buried at Baldur Cemetery.

Raymond Simpson Cleghorn b. may 12, 1903. Dr Cleghorn delivered his children at home and they attended and completed High School in Baldur.
