My grandfather's brother emigrated from Norway to Canada in 1909. His name was Peder Kristian Johannesen, but in Canada he may have used alternative spellings (i.e., he may have spelled his surname Johannessen, Johansen or even Johnson, and he may have called himself Peter). He left Norway for Hull, England, on the 13th of February to travel om with the Canadian Pacific Line from England to Canada. He was born in Drammen, Norway on the 30th of May, 1886. In his Norwegian emigration record, he is listed as factory worker seeking a better outcome.
According to family lore, he ended up in Manitoba, probably in Winnipeg, possibly working as an estate agent. However, I have not been able to find him in records of e.g., naturalization or war service in WW1. I would be very happy about any information about his destiny in Canada!
