Burnie, I've not come up with anything; but, you may wish to check out the Library & Archives of Canada, an online site that has a lot of into: http://www.collectionscanada.ca/genealogy/022-500-e.htmlhttp://www.collectionscanada.ca/genealogy/022-500-e.html Below is some info I've found in the QUÉBEC DEATH INDEX (1926-1996), although I can't tell if these files have anything to do with the James you're researching since you didn't mention how old James & Mary were during the 1901 census so I'm searching according to Seslie's DOB of 1844. She could have had her first children around age 13-14... I'm including all the info that each file contains, although older ones don't have much info since records were not popular way back when, especially in Protestant parishes. The Catholic churches were more apt to keep records: 1) James McKENZIE, b. 1874-00-00, d. 1947-08-14 in Montréal, QC. No further info in file; 2) James McKENZIE, b. 1858-07-26, d. 1933-01-12 in New Richmond, Bonaventure County, QC; 3) James Diack McKENZIE, b. 1882-08-12, d. 1928-05-12 in Montréal, QC; 4) James Fraser McKENZIE, b. 1877-11-12, d. 1927-11-12 in Montréal, QC; 5) James Hugh McKENZIE, b. 1867-11-14, d. 1955-08-07 in Westmount, a suburb of the city of Montréal, on the island of Montréal, QC; 6) James Kenneth McKENZIE, b. 1887-06-01, d. 1956-04-08 in Montréal, QC; 7) James Percival McKENZIE, b. 1877-00-00, d. 1961-05-03 in Verdun, a suburb of the city of Montréal, on the island of Montréal, QC; I haven't found a MARY McKENZI in the QC DEATH INDEX (1926-1996). As for marriages, i didn't find a James nor a Mary with David & Seslie as parents. Actually, not even with a David as father. Sorry I can't be of more help... Good luck.
