I have noticed that you have not responded to my reply to your query nor to Ginette's input.I trust that you have put a check mark in the block whereby you will be notified of replies to your query.
Further to the hint provided by Ginette, I have found the following info in the BMS registries for St.John's German Lutheran Church in Montreal.
August Frederik Gustavus and Charlotte Henriette ?Hanzig ?Sponzik ?Stanzig on 11 Aug 1861 in Montreal, St.John's German Lutheran Church
Given this marriage date, I do not believe that their son Frederick William would have been born on 16 Oct 1856.In the registry of St.John's, there is not baptism record for this person on that date or in the immediate area.
At St.John's I have found birth and baptism records for three children of August F. Gustavus and Charlotte Henriette.
Anne-Charlotte Auguste, born 9 Mar 1864, bapt. 21 Aug 1864
August Charles born 26 Mar 1865 and bapt. 24 Sep 1865
Ernest Leo Richard born 19 Jul 1862 and bapt. 17 Aug 1862
The people who did the transcribing of the data for the purpose of the repertory misread Wildt as WILOT and the surname of Charlotte Henriette is was transcribed as Stanzig from her marriage record and as Harzig from the baptism records of her children.
No sign of the baptism record of Frederick W.Could you re-assess his birth or baptism date?
If interested, I could make you photocopies of the above children's birth and baptism records: $5.00 each If interested, contact me at my email address: firstname.lastname@example.org
