I do not believe that you could obtain a death certificate.However, the applicable church registry would contain the burial (sepulture) record.
There is a database of the deaths in Québec (1926 to 1995) that I could check for you to determine the death date.
It used to be that you could obtain from the parish (church records) birth/baptism, marriage and burial records.Not anymore; the Director de l'état-civil (Director of Vital Statistics) is the only one authorized to issue certificates. Each request has to be justified if it is not made by the incumbent and the charge varies from 15 to 25 $ per record.If it was for an earlier period, the record could be obtained from the Mormons (LDS) microfilms ofQuébec parishes. Theirs stop in 1899 and the microfilms of another organization go no further than 1945.
