I looked at the censuses for 1851, 1861 and 1871 for New Brunswick. The 1851 census shows 4 Douglas families, all giving their origins as Irish. The 1861 census shows 8 families, one of which is of Scottish origin and the same is true of the 1871 census. Since you mention Loch Lomond, I am assuming you are looking for the one Scottish family--correct?
