I am interested in communicating with those descended from Capt. John Cochran, born (likely) Londonderry, New Hampshire, circa 1731, died St. John (Lancaster), New Brunswick, c. 1790, and his wife, Sarah (Foss) Cochran, b. 1737, Portsmouth, NH. John (a loyalist) was the son of James Cochran (1710, Northern Ireland - c. 1795, St. John, NB), who immigrated to Brunswick, Maine, then Londonderry, NH, then St. John, NB, the husband of Ann(e) Rankin. John's children included, at least, Sarah ("Sally") Cochran [m. Atkinson]; Ann(e) ("Nancy") Cochran [m. Hunt]; William Peregrine Cochran; and Mary ("Polly") Cochran [m. Hardy]. He was likely a near relative of "John Corlet Cochran," who also resided, for a time at least, in NH and immigrated to Canada at the close of the Revolution. Please contact me directly.
