The 1901 census has John F. Robinson with birthdate you show Oct. 21, 1831 born Ireland. He is with wife Amy - but children listed are not names you show.

Willie, son, age 23, born March 19, Quebec, Catholic
John, son, age 19, born July 4, Quebec, Catholic
** years of birth for the children are not shown but age 27 would be about 1874, 23 would be about 1878 and 19 would be about 1882.
** the immigration year is shown in index as 1859 but I'm not sure in the image if it is 1859 or 1839.
There is an 1873 marriage for John Robinson and Alma Janelle in Montreal - shows John as tailor, non-Catholic, widower of Agnes Rowe so fits. I found births for son Adam John Joseph Robinsonand William Ives Arthur Robinson, but not John.
I looked for a death record for John to see if it lists parent's names. I found Alma's death in 1921 which shows her as spouse of John Robinson but says de feu which I believe means he was deceased.
Alma is in 1911 census listed as widowed, so John must have died between 1901 and 1911.I have not found a death record for him though.
So not much for you other than that he looks to have immigrated either 1839 or 1859.
