Hi Lorene, You definitely have the right Selina and it does appear that her middle name was Minnie.I have from my co-worker that Selina King was born Jan. 31, 1899 in Broad Cove, N.F. She says that Selina's parents were Diamond and Elizabeth King of Broad Cove, N.F.; but that could just be a faulty memory of older relatives, and her parents could very well have been Silas King and Ellen Diamond. My co-worker says that Selina King married Zebeddee Moore ( b.c. 1888/89 ) of Carbonear, N.F. His first wife was Mary Flight but she also went by her middle name of Susan or Susie or vice versa. Mary died in Newfoundland and Selina was his second wife. From the 1930 census for Revere, MA., which was known as North Chelsea, MA. before 1871 ): Zebeddee Moore immigrated in 1923. He was a rigger in an oil plant and he was naturalized. Living with him was wife, Minnie, who was 31 and has married when she was 28. She immigrated in 1911. With them were sons: Albert ( 10 ), William ( 13 ), and Arthur ( 2 yrs. and 9 mos. old; b. MA....my co-worker's father. Albert and William were from Zebeddee Moore's first wife who died. Do you by chance have any further information concerning Selina Minnie's parents, Silas King and Ellen Diamond and their family origins? Any help that you could give me would be very much appreciated. Jean.
