My mother knew one of her uncles had lived in Cleveland and that her cousin by her other uncle had changed his name.Apparently he didn't care much for his father. This was a bone of contention with my grandmother that he changed his name from Quinn! She also talked about a cousin in Ohio but for some reason I thought it was Jack.It wasn't until later years that I realized Jack and Helen were siblings.
Paul Landry was not Aunt Min's son.She married a widower (I'll get his name from my mother) who had a son named Horace Landry.Horace died in 2007 at the age of 95 and was quite will known here in Syracuse. When Aunt Min's husband died guardianship of Horace was contested by Horace's mother's parents and Horace was not allowed to continue living with her.Apparently she had never legally adopted him and the courts decided in their favor. I believe he lived with Aunt Min for about 4-5 yrs.I remember running into him with my mother who thought of him as a cousin. That would explain why Rebecca had only 8 grandchildren. If you google Horace Landry Syracuse, you'll find out some of his history.
I remember my father talking about Paul Landry who I believe was Horace's cousin.Horace never married.
When I get more time I'll see what else I can find out for you.
