Hi! I am always on the look out for Jennings info. Here goes: Bernard Jennings m. Catharine O'Rourke in Scotland in 1827. They were both Irish, though. I believe that they sailed from Greenock , Scotland..with Capt. John Mc Donald...arriving in Prince Edward Islandin 1830.I believe that Bernard had a brother Peter. Bernard is on Peter's will. Anyway..Bernard and Cathaerine had the following children: Hugh Jennings..born in Charlottetown 1834 Hugh m. Isabelle Mooney
James Jennings b. 1840 m.Margaret "Peg" Mooney
Catharine Jennings..June 14 1845
There may have been more children..maybe one born in Scotland before they departed.
My line comes from the Hugh and Isabelle marriage. There are many Hughs, James and Bernards in this line, Other names in the family are Kenny, Donnelly,Hughes,
James and Margaret had a bunch of kids, too. My line went to New York. Some in Mount Vernon, Westchester County. Some to Brooklyn, then on to Staten Island..then Long Island, New Jersey..etc. They were Irish Catholic and resided Lots 36, 38 ,39..Prince Edward County?Or Queens County?Anyway.. If any of this seems familiar..let me know! cathy
