I am trying to learn whatever became of Lydia Gouldrup who married at Tryon, Prince County, Prince Edward Island on August 29, 1839 to a widower named James Hillson. Is this the James Hillson, born about 1786 in Plymouth, England, and died June 12, 1855 and (I think) buried in Lot 19 in Prince County OR is it the James Hillson (possibly son of the first James) born about 1816 in Plymouth, England, residrd in PEI, and died 1892 in Richibucto, Kent Co., New Brunswick (and who lived many years at Shediac, Westmoreland County, NB, and was married to a Mary (possibly second wife) who died shortly after John did from influenza. There was also a George Hillson of Summerside, PEI, who died there 1876; and a James Henry Hillson (I believe from PEI) who was killed in an accident with a train in 1857 in Westmoreland Co., NB, who also had (I believe) PEI roots. Another George Hillson died about 1882 (only 22 years or so old in another train accident) in Westmoreland Co., NB. My Lydia Gouldrup had a brother James Foy Gooldrup who also moved to Westmoreland Co., NB; another brother, Henry Charles Gooldrup went to Bathurst, NB; a sister Elizabeth remained on PEI as did her brother Jacob Gouldrup. Would be very interested if anyone could straighten up Lydia and her husband for me (and any children, if any). Thanks----Tom Goldrup.
