Quebec, Vital and Church Records (Drouin Collection), 1621-1967 about John Baptiste Laborer Name: John Baptiste Laborer [John Baptist] [John Baptist Laborer] Spouse: Mary Russel Event: Mariage (Marriage) Marriage Year: 1824 Marriage Location: New Carlisle, Québec (Quebec) Place of Worship or Institution: Anglican, Church of England
On this fifth day of Oc toner, 1824, John Baptist, labourer and batchelor of major age and Mary Russel, spinster and widow of major age of New Carlisle, were married by Banns in the presence of and with the consent of his relatives and friends and her relatives and friends and the two subscribing witnesses namely John Duncan and James Woods
**so no name of her first husband and no parents names and no ages so not a lot of help. In French Catholic records they generally give the name of the first spouse and maiden name of the women but in this case, as it was an Anglican church, I am not sure if Russel was her maiden name or her first married name ?
So the only thing I could think of was to look for births of children of John and Mary and hope they had Mary's maiden name shown, but I didn't find any births at all.
