Hi again Alan. I think that Anders Johan, seaman/captain, married to Maria Lofberg, is the brother of my ancestor Johanna Newman, born 1814, Jakostad, Finland, and her parents were Johan Carlsson Nyman and Helena Andersdr, as you state in your email. From another source in Sweden, I have found that Johanna Nyman (Newman) married Johan Dean Lundin 17 June 1839 in Gasinge, Sodermanland, Sweden. In 1840-1845 they appear on the census records in Gasinge, near Stockholm, Sweden. They parented seven children: 1st. Magdelana Lundin, born 20 November 1836 in Gasinge, Sondermanlands lan, Sweden and lived in Stockholm in her adult years. 2nd. Johanna Lundin, born 1 May 1839 in Gasinge and emigrated to America 9/17/1876. She and brother Carl Johanson Lundin families lived in Missouri, USA. 3rd. Carl Johanson Lundin (aka Charles Dean Newman) born 26 January 1841 in Gasinge and emigrated to America as Carl Johansson Lundin, a sailor, on 1/28/1863 from Skeppsta Bruk, Gasinge. He is my great, great, great grandfather. 4th.Henrik Gustaf Lundin, born 6 Janauary 1853 in Gasinge, died at age 3. 5th. Johanne Lundin, born 16 September 1845 in Gasinge. 6th. Emma Lundin, born 11 August 1847 in Gasinge. 7th. David Lundin, born 27 September 1850 in Gasinge. Johanna Nyman-Ludin died 8 January 1882 in Gasinge, Johan Dean Lundin died 4 August 1861 in Gasinge, Sodermanland, Sweden. No burial information yet found on Johanna Nyman nor spouse Johan Deanin Lundin. This information will be amended with new information as it is found.
