As a volunteer member in gen, I spend 15 saturdays a year in nal archives for that. transmission of a nat dossier by archives is invoiced 18€ from what I heard. The dossiers after 1930 are kept in Fontainebleau(55 miles from Paris), in this case it costs this sum but in regard of pages inside (40/50)the fee is modest but it takes 8 weeks. So in sept, 20 minutes of bus, 5 minutes for coordonates, 3 weeks to wait, 30 minutes to picture, 5 seconds for e mail... There are additionnal sources for russians people: * "Moscow fund" police file seezed by the gestapo then the russians and given back France in 2000; 2 millions of personnal folder established in the 30. * Military record for this officier hard to reach without a derogation (120 years after birth) * Passport Nansenn kept by UNOg refugees and apatrid org in Geneva. Don't forget reminder in end of august.
