I noticed you replied to someone asking about family records in Breslau, Silesia, Prussia.
I have been searching for 30 years (with little success) for information about my great grandmother, Rosalie Linke who marriedWilhelm Fritz Dohrmann on October 6, 1885 and then moved to the United States (Missouri) about 3 weeks later.Fritz Dohrmann was born in Laumühlen, Germany (Hannover) near Hechtau, Hanover, Germany on August 18, 1858.Rosalie and Fritz were not married in the same church where Fritz was baptized and Confirmed, so they have no record of the marriage or of who Rosalie was.
Rosalie Linke Dohrmann was born 14 March 1861 in Breslau, Schlesien, Preußen, Germany (now Wroclaw, Poland).Rosalie died February 23, 1950 in Kansas City, Missouri, USA.I have her death certificate, which states she was born in Breslau.A couple of census records mention she was was from Schlesien, Prussia.
I have a few pictures of Rosalie and her husband and children, but little else.Rosalie and her husband Fritz had 7 children, but only my grandfather lived long enough to have children. My grandfather supplied the information for the death certificate, but listed unknown as her parents.
Rosalie had at least one sister who married a man with the last name of Meyer in Germany (I know this because Rosalie's neice, Minna Meyer Christophers wrote to her after WWII).As far as I an tell from the letters that were written to Rosalie right after WWII, herneice, Minna Meyer Christopher, lived in Cuxhavan, Germany.
I am hoping you can tell me where I could write for birth records for the time period my grandmother was born (1861) in Breslau (now Wroclow, Poland).
