Gebhardshain-looking for records in area

I believe my ancestors were in the area of Gebhardshain, and perhaps Burbach, Selters, etc. according to family journals. They were in that area 1820-1854. Where might the civil records have been kept for that time and area? They were Evangelische so I also need to find the church they attended once I locate the ancestral village. I know this might be vague but its the best information I have.
