1st a Thank You to Leila Gust – I shall follow up the Google idea with the Greek spelling you provide.
2nd – another Thank you to Kathleen Deligianni Smith. I shall visit the websites via the links you so kindly provided however…your post has given me pause for thought. Am I missing something here? In the post you copied for me by “George” he refers to Carina Kourkoumelli (the correct name) though in the listing of her parents’ names I see that the father is referred to as Demitrios Kourkoumelis (Advocat) – one letter ‘l’ has been dropped and an ‘s’ is added to the end. The same thing happens with reference to Maria Kapodistria, whose father’s name has an ‘s’ added. Is this some sort of distinction between males and females in the same family?
I guess I need to know if there is some distinction as I wish to follow the Kourkoumelli line up through Kapodistria(s) to find any relationship to Ioannes (1776 – 1831), who I understand, was the first Greek Prime Minister.
