Unless there is another Max in the family I would assume you are correct (NOTE:going over Alice Pasch's work I see the names you mentioned. You mother is mentioned, please accept my sympathy).
This group of Greenlands from Iowa (Joshua's children) used to have family reunions, they may still have them.At these reunions Mrs. Pasche would bring her genealogy and talk to the family there. She travelled back to PA also, talking to whatever Greenland she found. At the site is information from her book, which is where most of the info I have on this line (Joshua) comes from.
The LDS has information on the Greenland family.

"Daniel Greenland (brother to Hiram).
Born in Huntingdon co., PA on Aug 25, 1825.Married Mary Jane Bradshaw in Jefferson county, Iowa on April 15, 1849 at home of Joel Bradshaw, both residents of Cedar township in Jefferson co.Daniel is buried in Westerville Cemetery, Row 3 of Richland township, Decatur Co., Iowa, and died Feb 24, 1907 at age 72.Mary Jane Bradshaw buried in same row and died in 1913.They had 80 acres in Jeffersons co and moved to Decatur co for 80 acres and a mule according to their grandson, Harland Greenland. Daniel and Mary Jane had:Lieu; Margaret; Isabell called Belle; Joshua Eugene called Bub; Joe; Frank and William called Bill.
Of these kids, the following is what I have on them: Lieu married twice, the first time to Minnie Hazen, the second time to Stella Fullerton.Lieu and first wife Minnie had: Harland, Emmett nd Robert Greenland and Lieu and 2nd wife had Mary Greenland.Lieu farmed in Decatur co.,Iowa.I knew Harland Greenland and he was a fine person - his wife died of cancer in 1968 and he died around 1977 - they still have children in or near Grand River - Max, Dean, Daniel, Betty who married Jack Kuhn and lives in Cedar Rapids and Patsy, who married Lloyd Clausen in 1968 and who was killed in an auto accident in Newton in 1977 leaving her husband and two small children.Max, Dean and Daniel I believe still farm in Decatur co - they would all be in their 30's or 40's by now." (NOTE: This work is undated though I think it's from the 1980's).
"Margaret (now we're back to the children of Daniel) was born in 1851 and married David F Snook in Jefferson co., Iowa on March 30, 1869."(NOTE: there is a post on this family) "I believe they have a decendant by the name of Snook who teaches in Ft. Madison, Iowa, but I have never gotten around to contacting him.
Isabell - nothing known except she stayed in Decatur co.
Joshua Eugene (Bub) - was born in 1860. Died in 1922 and buried in Decatur co, Richland township, Iowa.
Frank Greenland - I think he is the one who is related to Carrie Gent who siad the Greenlands came from Buckman, England, but am not absolutely sure.I alsothink this Frank Greenland was the one who was sort of a renegade and shot at several people with a shotgun - was a recluse of some sort.
Nothing known of Joe.It is thought that Willam went to Texas - nothing more known.
One thing which could be pursued on this brance of the Greenlands of Lieu's children, Emmett in 1969 was a bachelor living in Cheyenne, Wyoming and was bout 75 then.He also was a Mormon.Mormons - the the sake of "sealing" their ancestors, so that in afterlife they wil be Mormans, try diligently to trace their ancestory.I indend to find out if the Morman Church has anything done by Emmett on this. (or you can)"
And that's all she wrote on this group. It appears I had these names you mentioned, I don't have all the information up on the site as this work is large. The LDS does have some "sealed" records on the Greenland family, I'm not sure who did this.
