Moses married Mary Loveall. She the daughter of Ethan Loveall who was the son of the Rev. Henry Loveall. You will find much on him, he was quite a character.
The Rev. Henry was born in Cambridge england (parents unknown) as Desolate Baker. He got into some trouble with a woman at his church and to avoid trouble with the law he hopped on a ship to America.Supposidly as a indentured servant of a Mr. Sears. It seems that he and Mr. Sears found some clothing and items on a small island and brought them back to the Sears family the items infested with small pox.Henry (Deslolate) was marked by the pox.He served his time and went off to Rhode Island where he married, some say an Indian maiden some say a woman named Margaret. She gave him two children, Zacharias and Ethan. He then goes on to Virginia where he becomes a minister of the Baptist faith. He marries a woman named Martha and has two sons Luther and Calvin.Calvin dies as a child. He is the first permanent minister of Saters church. He sets up other churches in other areas including one in (I think Kentucky) leaving with the wife of one of the other members. He get's in trouble for this and is sent back to Maryland, he has no church but does guest speak on Sundays. He was considered a gifted speaker, he just didn't live up to some of the moral teachings of his church. There is quite a bit on him in Baptist church records and books on religions of the 1700's.
His son Ethan was an industrious sort, ended up owning a lot of land in Baltimore co,now in Caroll county.Moses Greenland came from Harford co to Baltimore and married his daughter Mary. They were given 180 acres of land which was located about 4 miles from a patch of land that Ethan sold to a Benjamin Corbin.
Benjamin was married to Sarah Sias/Lye.Their marriage is recorded.Who his father is is still a mystery as many have him listed as the son of Nicholas Z Corbin, son of Edward who was son of Nicholas emigrate 1671.This is another unproven item.
Benjamin and Sarah have a daugher Sarah Ruth who marries Moses and Mary's eldest son Nathan.
After Ethan Loveall's death the Greenland's sell their land and move to PA and settle with many members of their church in Huntingdon county. He purchased 316 acres of land and divided it in a will for his 3 sons.On a trip back to Maryland Moses was stricken by plurisy (an inflamation of the lining of the lungs) and died.
