A Coney Brochure," by Joseph Willards??? page 44, 45 and 46 says the first ....of the name of Nathaniel Coneys in New england is on the Boston ..... under the date October 11, 1699, which he married Elizabeth Greenland of Boston. In the Boston Records Commisioner Report, Vol 9, the record of births shows that Elisabeth Greenland, daughter of Daniel and Elizabeth Greenland, ws born May 28, 1679."The Record of Births in Boston give the names of the children of Nathaniel Coney and his wife Elisabeth as follows:John born 1/14/1700.......died Aug 20, 1726; infant child born in 1702; another in 1704; Nathaniel born Dec 18, 1705 died Feb 2, 1779; daniel born October 17, 1709 married Aug 2, 1733; Sarah born March 20, 1711, married Ebenizer Holmes Jan 25, 1732.After the death of his wife Elizabeth, which occurred May 7, 1711, he married Abigail Aager, Sept 3, 1711 and the Boston Reocrd of births give their chidren's names as follows:
Abigail born July 28, 1712 married Michale Lowell of Boston; Thomas born July 2, 1714; died May 16, 1749; Elizabeth born May 15, 1716 married Joseph Pittee of Wlpole; Samuel born april 15, 1718 married Rebecca Guild of Dedham; Mary born March 18, 1720 married Samuel Pittee of Walpole; Priseilla born April 2, 1722 in Sudsbury Mass, was a spinster; Joseph born May 8, 1724, i Reboboth, Mass; William born March 29, 1727 in Reboboth Mass; Anna born Sept 23, 1728 in Stoughton was second wife of Major Aaron Build of Dedham.The date of wife Abigail's death is not apparent but the Boston Record of Marriages show that Nathaniel Coney of Stoughton was married in Boston by Rev. Thomas Foxcroft to Mary Royal of Boston, Dec 27, 1736.This unquestionably the third marriage of Nathaniel Coney, Sr., for his son Nathaniel was at that time married and living with his family in Stoughton.His name appears on the Rate List of Stoughten year after year till 1744 when he was assessed for the last imte.He probably died before the taxes for 1745 wer levied, and if so in the eightieth year of his age.Abigail Ager was daughter of Thomas Skinner, and widow of Ebenizer Ager.
