Yes, that is Angelita (Angie for short and she IS short).Krispin made a caption on the Friendster net naming everyone on the photo. And talk about spelling bees, I one the other hand sound like an airline reservations clerk -- I go October-November-Tango-October-November-Gamma ! Those asking me my surname catch on in a snap.
We are making plans, e.g. sourcing inns or hotels on Ontong Java Island, available transport, eats, drinks, friendly or hostile hosts, places which the entire Ontong clan could visit and learn their history, etc. And finally, costs and stick-em-up funds for everyone.
We also have a dog named Tiger, all bark and no bite as he was named after the Malaysian beer brand and not the ferocious mammal. But over in an adjoining city called Novaliches where my sister lives with her daughter Maria Victoria (nicknamed Aia - pronounced Aya)they have this whole pack -- Kimba, B-2, Bugsy, and two pups named Pau and Bob.All of them behave like hunting dogs, ready and willing and desperate really, to tear apart any transgressor on my sister's property (including us, unfortunately, when we come to visit on the odd occasions).
We are keeping our fingers crossed and we may be posting to all the Ontongs the formal invite to gather at Ontong Java Island.Fitting place, right ?Even if all we'll have to sleep on are tents pitched on the beaches.
I am also hoping that our new President (still the old President - Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo) will do her reciprocal state visit to Africa (Nelson Mandela was a recent state visitor to the Philippines and protocol dictates that our head of state has to make a state visit over to your country as well). And I hope that it will be my turn at the rotation to make the trip.
