Thomas Stephen Hanrahan born in 1830 Tipperary Co Ireland married 27 Nov 1855 in Clark Co Ohio Sarah Clohessy also born in Ireland about 1825.
Thomas Stephen entered Quebec in the 1850s and immigrated next to Kentucky then Ohio, settling in Kansas by 1859. Bridget and Michael Hanrahan stayed in Kentucky as the other Hanrahan families moved on west.
Thomas Stephen and Sarah were among the first white settlers in Jackson Co Kansas in a place known as "Irish Creek" Ks. All the migrating brothers settled there. For over 150 years this area has been populated by descendants of Thomas Stephen and his brothers.
Wish List: Who were the parents of Thomas Stephen and his brothers? What year did they arrive in Quebec and where did they live and how long? When did they arrive in Kentucky and where? It may have been Bath Co. Information on Bridget and Michael who remained in Ky would be helpful.
I'm very close to locating the arrival date in Ks but know it was by the time one of his children were born.
This is my husband's line and it is confusing, at best, due to the multiple repetitions of names and lack of records. Not being familiar with the 'uncles and aunts', it remains a challenge to find the correct information.
Thank you for any information you can share or leads to steer me to the family history. CJ Hanrahan
