I Henry Thompson,at present residing at No 5 Henry St in the city of Belfast,Army Pensioner,declare this to be my last will.I leave to my niece Jane Whiteside a promissory note for £50 from John Bell and Alexander Bell to me dated 2nd April 1889.I also leave the following legacies;To my sister Martha Whiteside the sum of £25.00,to my niece Martha Whiteside the sum of £15,to my niece Eliza Lamb the sum of £10,to my niece Mary Upton the sum of £10,to my niece Henrietta Frew the sum of £20,to my grandnephew Henry Thompson Frew the sum of £25,to my niece Rosy Thompson the sum of £15,to my niece Margaret Thompson the sum of £15 and to my niece Rachel Thompson the sum of £15.I leave to my nephew John Thompson my black coat and vest and striped trousers.To my brother Allen Thompson my cloth top coat and to my brother in law Arthur Whiteside all the remainder of my wearing apparel of whatsoever nature or kind.To my said niece Rosy Thompson my four pictures.To my said grandnephew Henry Thompson Frew my military medals and to my said nephew John Thompson all my books and as to all the furniture and bedding which I may be -- of at the time of my death,I leave the same to Mrs Smyth with whom I am at present residing.I bequeth to the said Allen Thompson the sum of £9 6 shillings which will be payable to me or my representatives after my death by the Refuge Burial Society and also the sum of £4 which will be payable to me or my representatives after my death by the Soldiers Benevolent Society together with any accumulations of interest which there may be thereon to be applied by him in payment of my funeral expenses and to pay any surplus which may remain of the said sums of £9 6 shillings and £4 after paying said funeral expenses to my said niece Jane Whiteside and as to all the residue of my property I leave,devise,and bequeth the same to my said niece Jane Whiteside absolutely.I leave and bequeth my black box to the said Jane Whiteside and my red box to the said John Thompson.I appoint William John Upton of Budore to be the executor and trustee of this my will.In -- whereof I have hereunto signed my name this 16th day of August 1889.Henry Thompson(signature),signed,published and declared by the said testator as and for his last will in the presence of us present at the same time who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.Jane Smyth 5 Henry St and John Jack 11 Lombard Street.
