I am searching for those that stayed and those that came to the US as it seems they did. Here is why
Joseph Holland b ca 1838 d 1900 married Mary Ann Anderson b ca 1838 d 1918 in 1857 at St. Ann's Church and St. Patricks in the same day.
1875 Eliza Holland died at the home of Joseph Holland 30 Corporation St., Belfast that was where he was living when she died. She was buried at Belfast City Cemetery P 56 and Joseph is buried in P 57 .Have recently found buried in the same plot with Eliza Holland is a Edith Maud Trimble age 2 1/2 yrs of age d 1894.There had to be a connection or she would not have been buried with this family.I now think that possibly Eliza was a Trimble who married John Holland in ca 1820.
On the marriage certificate of Joseph it states that his father is named John and in 1861 John Holland was found on Lodge Rd. close to where Joseph was living on Corporation St.Eliza Holland's death certificate states that she had been ill with paralysis for 7 years.
I am assuming from that since she died 1875 that John must have died abt 1868 and her son Joseph took her to his home.
I think that Bridgett Holland is possibly the s/o Joseph since she married John Trimble 1855 and Joseph married 1857.
I do not know very much about Joseph as who the siblings are .Do not know where he was b as he died 1900 and does not appear on any census that is available.
Goodness the census means that Bridgett Holland Trimble came to the USA with her son James.WOW!!!!!!!!what a coup that is and his brother with them. This is mind boggling. If I can tie all of this together what a day.
Thank you so very much this is just wild-you are the best.As far as I know I do not have a tree on the Trimble family on Ancestry.Do you mind telling me about it?I do not have a tree at all .
