Manoah Earle
Manoah Earle and two other brothers came to Newfoundland sometime after 1800. It is known Manoah had at least four children in the Shearstown, Newfoundland area in the late 1830's and later. Two sons were George and Richard. There is question whether Manoah and his brothers came from Ireland or England. The thought of Ireland is because a member of the family was stated to have been a wheel in Orangemen's Society. There is, however, a Manoah Earle shown to have been born in Melksham, Wiltshire, England in 1841. Was this Manoah named after the Manoah that had come to Newfoundland? Any information to break down this wall of confusion would be appreciated.
