I searched the Irish Family History Foundation's database. It contains 12,000,000 surviving rcds for abt 65% of Irish counties. Rcds are increasingly sparse B4 1840. Rare B4 1800.

For John Davison B 1803 +/- 4 yrs in Co. Armagh, I found 0 B rcds. Expanding the search to all Ireland using the same range, I found 4 B rcds: 1800 Cork, 1804, and 2-1805 in Antrim.

I have found rcds for northern Ireland to be problems. Many events weren't rcd'd at all, or only partially. This makes it tough and inconclusive to search.

Google the Foundation's name to lead you to this database. Pls post your search results to this genforum msg.

Hope this helps. Good luck.
