Here are my comments.
I have a typed up transcription from a now-deceased cousin approximately 30 years old which is labled Information from the microfilm of baptismal records at St. Michael's Church in Athy through the Castle in Dublin, Ireland.I find that Denis & Mary Daleny (probably Delany) of Woodstock had a child Matt baptized on 11/26/1790, that James & Mary Delaney of Athy had a child Mary baptized on 7/29/1787 and a child Charly baptized on 8/20/1790, that James & Mary Delany of Prestongate had a child James baptized on 6/16/1790,that Martin & Onor Delany of Athy had a child Martin baptized on 11/11/1787 and a child Michael baptized on 11/23/1788, that Thomas & Hanna Delany of Ballyroe had a child baptized on 5/11/1788, that Daniel & Betty Delany of Athy had a child Pat baptized on 8/7/1789 and a child Pat baptized on 2/24/1793, that Ned & Mary Delany of Athy had a child John baptized on 7/4/1790 and a child Mary baptized on 1/4/1795, that Timothy & Onor Delany of Barrack Street had a child Mary baptized on 8/15/1791, that Denis & Kate Delany of Athy had a child Denis baptized on 4/23/1796, that Denis & Onor Delany of Athy had a child Betty baptized on 3/21/1797, that Daniel Delaney & Nelly Tool of Athy had children (twins?) Margaret & Dan baptized on 1/29/1804, and Ned & Mary Delany of Athy had a child Mary baptized on 1/4/1795.The name Delany appears in the sponsors column numerous time but never with a geographical reference.I didn't see anyone with reference to Camras, Camross, Ballinkall, Graignrhowne, nor Knock.
I have another document typed up by the same cousin which attempts to be a family genealogy which borrows heavily on other family genealogies and particularly one done by Michael Dunne born at Pound Cross, Tankardstown, Laoighis and died in St. Louis, Missouri.Michael Dunne was a neighbor of my great-grandfather Michael Byrne who somehow became Michael Burns. This Michael Byrne was the son of another Michael Byrne who was born in Tankardstown as the son of James and Jane Byrne; James was from County Kildare and the daughter of Honora or Nunny Fitzpatrick.Hanora was the sister of Bridget Fitzpatrick who married Michael Dunne; they were daughters of Patrick Fitzpatrick, who married Bridget Delaney, and came with his brother Michael Fitzpatrick and their cousin "Big" John Fitzpatrick to Tankerstown from Ballyragget, County Kilkennny; I don't know if Bridget Delaney was from Ballyragget, Tankardstown, or elsewhere.
Per my cousin's genealogy document, Bridget Delaney was born "1750 or 1760 in Tankardstown Township near Athy, Ireland and had four brothers":
1.Michael Delaney, born 1750/1760 in Tankardstown who married Bridget Fitzpatrick with one child Mary.Mary was born in Tankardstown and married John Quinn, had a "large family but only 2 living (John and daughter, no name mentioned)" probably as of 1934.The daughter married a Maher.
2.James Delaney, born in Tankardstown, married "no name mentioned" for his wife, with a "large family" all living in Black Castle, County Carlow, Ireland in 1934 with "only 2 are recorded".Son John Delaney was born at Black Castle.Daughter Ann Delaney was born at Black Castle and living in Jersey City, New Jersey in 1934.
3.John Delaney, born in Tankardstown, was "very successful as a baker -- had a prosperous shop in Old Laughlin (is this Old Leighlin -- County Carlow?)" with no children and no mentioned wife.
4.William Delaney, born in Tankardstown, was married with "no name mentioned" and two children John and William.John was born in Tankardstown and "became a Catholic priest, eventually became President of Carlow College, Ireland".William was born in Tankardstown and "became a Catholic Jesuit priest, he was a great educator and professor in colleges for 57 years" died "at age 89".
Looking at your reference to an Eliza Byrne in 1821, there is a small chance that this is Betty Byrne born on 3/10/1794 to James & Jane Byrne.I certainly have come across the surnames Kehoe, Kelly, Nolan, and Quinn in records from Athy.Looking at your reference to a Jerome Delany who Married Mary Quinn, I strongly suspect a link with Mary Delaney who married John Quinn.Otherwise, I'd say that there is plenty of room for your Delany family to be descended from the siblings including my ancestor Bridget Delaney or her parents, uncle, or grandfather.
I hope that this helps.
