I know we have been in touch before but I just saw this posting re the Leitrim/Longford marriages. Do you have any more information on the 1825 marriage of James Thompson and Ann Drea? They could be part of my whole generation of missing Thompsons.I am looking for James Thompson whohad a brother, William, parents were Anne and William Thompson buried in County Westmeath.James had a son, Michael, (my g-grandfather) who was born about 1845 and raised by cousins named Ryder.William had a wife named Isabella (born c 1830).She is also buried in Westmeath, She died in 1866 in Granard parish, Longford. I know nothing about James, his wife or brother William other than theyboth men are listed as shopkeepers.James on Michael's marrriage record, and William on Isabella's death record. The James and Ann marriage records lists them both as being from Cloone. This marriage date would make James older than I first thought but might explain why Michael was raised by cousins.Perhaps mary died. Are ther any birth or death records for the Cloone area for the 1840s?Maybe I should start looking there!
