Griffith's valuation is often cited. However, it rarely provides info which can positively be tied to a specific family. The only way it can benefit you is IF you KNOW your family occupied land in a specific parish, and possibly a specific townland. You may have enough circumstantial info to make this tie.
Since your Griffith lists a James Roe and you have a Catherine Roe, see if you can find their birth rcds in the IFHF database. If you find B rcds for the two with the same parent's names, in this parish and townland, then there is a good chance that the Griffith listing supports your data.
