I am truly hoping someone can help me.For years we thought our whole family came from England.
My Gr.Grandfather's name was Joseph Dearden/Deardon.He was born in Drogheda Ireland in approx 1874-1875.He married in Liverpool in 1895 and died in 1913 at age 37 in a Workhouse. As per his marriage certificate, I do have his father's name as being Charles and Charles is noted as being a Block Maker in 1895.
I have been told that Dearden/Deardon is very uncommon in Ireland.I am hoping to gather some form of information on him and if he had siblings at all.I live in Canada, we are very limited with Irish records, though we have so many for England.
I do know that my Gr.Grandfather is not on the 1881 Census for England, therefore, he and his family must have still been in Ireland.I realize there is no hope in finding him on an Ireland Census, as I believe they were destroyed.
Thank you for your time and understanding. Sincerely; Carol
