I searched the Irish Family History Foundation's database. It contains 12,000,000 surviving rcds for abt 65% of Irish counties. Rcds B4 1840 are increasingly sparse, B4 1800 rare. I only search the existing database.
For Matthew Hughes B 1770, I found 0 B rcds. The earliest date is 1782.
For Bridget Brennan B 1765, I found 0 B rcds. The earliest is for 1801.
For Michael Hughes B 1795 +/- 4 yrs, I found 2 B rcds: 1796 and 1797. Neither had a father forenamed Matthew.
For James Hughes B 1798 ditto, I found 11 B rcds. One of these lists the father's forename as Matthew.
For John Hughes B 1807 ditto, I found 7 B rcds: 2-1804, 2-1806, 1808, and 2-1809. None had a father's forename of Matthew.
For Margaret Hughes B 1810 (exact), I found 0 B rcds.
For Thomas Hughes B 1813 (exact), I found 1 B rcd. However, the father's forename is Patrick.
