I searched the Irish Family History Foundation's database. It contains 12,000,000 surviving rcds for abt 65% of Irish counties. Rcds are increasingly sparse B4 1840, rare B4 1800.
For John Doyle B 1834 +/- 4 yrs in Co. Meath with a father named John, I found 2 B rcds: both in 1832. One of these MAY be for your ancestor. A view of the detailed rcd SHOULD show his parents' names. This view will validate/invalidate a rcd.
For John Doyle Sr. M 1827 +/- 4 yrs, I found 4 M rcds: 1824, 1830, and 2-1831.
For Margaret Sheridan M ditto, I found 2 M rcds: 1824 and 1825.
The 1824 rcd is a POSSIBLE match for that of John Sr. However, screening at the parish level, I found the Ms took place in different parishes. Therefore, it is unlikely these are for your ancestors.
Google the Foundation's name to lead you to this database. Register, opt to be notified as rcds are added and browse. Pls post your search results to my genforum msg.
