Wow! Thanks so much. Interesting because the IGI has a Hughbert Hanley listed, born to James Hanly and Mary Grady in 1875. Hugh had a sister here in the US, on his ship manifest she was listed as his destination but only as Mrs. Devinne in Lawrence Ma. Using the census I had narrowed it down to a Margaret Devine, I just need to get to the archives and verifythat her maiden name is Hanley. Unfortunately his death certificate had blanks for the fathers first name and mothers name was completely blank. And the informant is a cousin of a completely different name-he certainly covered his tracks well!He came here married to a Mary Agnes Connors born in Monivea Galway, lived in Bellville, sister born in Athenry. So I can look for a marriage there. The LDS libraries near me are open for only a few hours per week and they don't coincide with my kids schedules. But I have made tremendous progress thanks to you. Do you need any Massachusetts or US research I can help you with?
