Hi. I feel like a bull in a China closet, just bursting in on your conversation with Ms. Keppel, however the information you possess on the Bolton Family tree may help me a lot.
My name is Christopher Bolton. I am a descendant of Wexford County Boltons who emigrated to Canada in the late 1700's. In particular, I am seeking a Richard Bolton who was born in Wexford County on March 25, 1777.
Richard Bolton and his wife, Mercy Buell were married in Canada in 1820. Their first son, John Bolton married a Mary Richards in 1849. Mary Richards was born in Wexford Co. in 1828. Her father, Christopher Richards (my namesake) was born in 1795.
I was wondering if any of these names fit into the document you have. How common was the Bolton name in Wexford Co.? Was it merely concentrated among family members in one place, or were there many unrelated branches to this tree?
I recently inherited my family's bible, which carries genealogical information dating back to 1777, however this is as far as my grandfather took it before he died. Can you help me learn more?
