I will hold you to that-look you up when I come around Ireland.
Interestingly when Ellen Doyle and her new husband left Ireland they went to England where Mary Ann their first child was born. That was just before 1882.I don't know which part(s) but wonder if they knew Doyles there.
I changed my last name after divorce in 2006-just decided Windstrom (I have some German roots as well with Kaufmann).Made the name up.I didn't want to go back to my baby name (maiden) Gannon.
I'd love to see the family tree Eileen has structured.I saw an extensive one at Deltgen.com (I think) for Sietzen in Luxemborg. It was extremely large.
What will you do in Ireland (Dublin?) for work?I know there is much known remodeling. The fact you have experience with the culture will be a calming influence on everyone. No one will be wondering what you are saying or doing.
I have thought of going to live there.Indeed I am quite independent and desire to build (rebuild) a strong, lasting society that continues to have resources that uses only what is needed. No waste.
