Searching for any information on Dr. Connick who arrived in Percé Canada from Kilbraney, Wexford in the 1830s. The oldest document that I have that concerns him is dated Sept. 7 1839 as he takes oath as Justice of the Peace in Percé. In 1843, more precisely the 15th of December, he gets his licence to practice as a physician. In 1846, he marries Elizabeth Flynn. His parents are thus known on the mariage record as being Eugene Connick and Emelia Anastasia O'Neil; his father is buried in the Roman Catholic cemetery of Ballyanne. I have photographs of the slab erected by his wife. He is said to have been baptized in Sutton Parish (probably between 1816 and 1820); this information comes from a parish priest of Percé who did some research at the end of the 19th Century. Some children were still alive. Do not hesitate to contact me; I have line of Connick ascendants up to 1588 but with no way to verify it; it was transmitted orally. Thanks to anyone who can help me in my quest.
