I've been following British public and parish records for Stephen Maybury (a shipwright) and his wife Mary (nee Barr) who lived in Liverpool - a least for a few years.
From the IGI at www.familysearch.org:
JAMES MAYBURYChristening:30 MAY 1824St Nicholas, Liverpool Father:STEPHEN MAYBURYMother:MARY
Following all have same parents
AMELIA MAYBURYChristening:02 SEP 1838St PeterLiverpool ELIZABETH MAYBURYChristening:23 FEB 1836St Peter WILLIAM MAYBURYChristening:10 NOV 1828St Peter SARAH MAYBREYChristening:03 MAY 1827St Peter JANE MAYBURYChristening:08 OCT 1832St Peter Ann MaybrayChristening:25 SEP 1825St Thomas Liverpool
Stephen MayburySpouse:Mary Barr Marriage:12 APR 1821St Annes, Liverpool
Stephen seems to appear from nowhere, and never makes it into a census. Mary can be found in lodgings in the 1841, and from a later census we see she is from the Isle of Man - though it appears this was only temporary and it's likely she came from Ireland and as a result records at that time have probably been lost.
Can anybody shed any more light on Stephen or Mary - I'm OK with their children and subsequent descendants.
