Dear Isle of Man Genealogists, I am trying to trace a Robert Walkden born between 1920 and 1933 who may at one time have lived with his family on the Isle of Man. If he did then it would have been in the 1950s as he told a relative in 1957 he had family there.
I can find no Walkdens born in the IoM between the period I am interested in so this is a long shot.the Robert Walkden I am looking for would now at his youngest be in his late seventies and oldest in his early 90s.In 1957 he was working for a petrochemical or soap company (Lever Brothers?) in Manchester as an engineer or technician or some sort.
I would appreciate hearing from anyone who knows/knew of this Robert Walkden, known as Bob.If so, whether thery are still alive and if not the year they died and at what age. If they are alive I would like to make contact.
I live in NZ so any help you can give would be much appreciated.
