Thank you as always for your responses. It could be possible that this Made Ogrin was a relative. The only Made (maiden name Lusis) that my grandmother shared with me was on her father's side, Janis Lacis.Hopefully, the State Archives will be able to tell me.
I don't know for sure if the Rozini are relatives or just friends. The gentleman in the Rozini picture is also standing over the grave of my father's grandfather. He has in his hand the same type of hat he is wearing in the Rozini picture.I was hoping.
Actually the only other versions of Rosental that I have seen are Roschlejs (when my dad wrote a note/letter in German while at the DP camp) and Rozeljas (in the paperwork when my mother sold the land in Latvia).
Just wanted to share when looking at grandmother's pictures, Laudona was written on the back of one of them.
On May 8 of this year, my brother (Juris/George) died due to an accident. He is the last of my family that fled Latvia during WWII.
Again, I am so grateful for your responses.I have learned so much about my family due to your willingness to share.I am also using your responses as a travel guide for when I go to Latvia. So now I will add the Kalzenau pagasts to my guide.
