He sailed on the Italia, which was owned by the Anchor line. There were two ships by that name. The first was scrapped, and the second was re-named Konig Albert, according to an on-line source, and was called that, at the time, when my grandfather sailed, but hisnaturalization papers state that he was on the Italia.Through one of the genealogy sites, they listed a site NYC Vital Records, where for a fee, this person would secure a passenger list and/or manifest for your ancestor. I gave all the info, name, bd, age, port and date of departure, and port and date of arrival. I mailed a M.O. 5/11, it was cashed on 6/13, and I haven't heard a thing. I sent this Robert Mac Gregor an e-mail, and still haven't had a reply. I hate to think that this person's dishonest, but at this point, I don't have any reason to think otherwise. I'm only mentioning this, so you'll be aware, that there are pitfalls. I hope this has helped.
