I am Adina Celaya, my family came from Lebanon to Mexico in the 1800's. They were Soilders of Fortune. They were given a city and I was told that they stayed at that time because there were other Lebanese migrating. I know that I'm also some turkish descent, but became Lebanese which is my last name "CELAYA." I can not find records of birth on my great-grandfather (Emanuol ?) ............. Celaya, great-great-granfather (Emanuol ?)............ Celaya, etc... I just don't know their middle names. However, I know that some of our surnames are Saba, Feres, Fares, Ferris, Aya, Ayaz, Amaya, Alam, Almi, Ahmed, Ahmad, Ahmadi, Amadi, Amari, Asraf, Basha, Daya, Faya, Hatoum, Haddad, Hassan, Hedaya, Khatoon, Kaya, Haq, Maya, Rahman, Soraya and Fatima. If you have any information, please email me.I've been checking these other countries (Sweden, France, Portugal, Spain. Italy, Greece, Lebanon, Turkey, Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Syria, and Kuwait). Since they were soilders of fortune have found the cities that were named after them in some of the different countries only. If you can help me out with any information on any of these surnames I would be thankful.
By the way the name Ferris ( can be spelled as Ferres/ Feres /Fares was listed as French, Italian & Greek).
