My GGrandmother emigrated about 1912. She came over to marry her arranged husband (Family legend has it that she was promised at about 6 months old). His Americanized name was Sam Simon (we don't know if this was his "real" name or not). He worked for Union Pacific Railroad, so they moved from Minnieapolis to Cheyenne Wyoming, Salt Lake City, then Los Angeles. They moved to LA about 1929. I know they had relatives in Colorado. They were Maronites, and they spoke Arabic to each other in the house.
Her children, including my Grandmother are all still alive, and in their 80s. My Grandmother, unfortunately, does not remember much as she was sent to live with an Aunt in Colorado when she was about 6 years old.
I have pictures as well, perhaps there will be a clue there.
