Hi Jack
I asked some relatives in Lebanon about the Shanbour family history, this is what I have learned. That the family is originated in France, long time ago,the grandfather is called Lotfi Shanbour, called Al Sganbour,(al or El) here is a definite article, the grandfathers name is Lutfi Shanbour, married to Julia, they are both dead.his son is called Michel married to Nahia Razzouk, their children are:
Julia Married to a man his family name is (Jarjou3i) from a town called (Kulayaa)near the boarders in south Lebanon.they both have 2 chilkdren a boy and a girl.another child they have is Lotfi (named after his grandfather)he died at the age of 45,they also called him (Lotf)which means kindness.then Joseph married to (Jihan Saadeh)have 2 boys their names are Rami and Rani, then Hussam, married to a lady from North Lebanon,he married in the USA and lives their with his family,he has 2 girls and a boy, then (Josephine, married to a gentleman from the town (Deir Mimas)which also near the boarders in South lebanon, and they have 1 boy.she lives in the states with her family,I have her phone number in USA but if you want her phone number I have to ask her permission before.
then you have Souad that is married and lives in lebanon with her family, then Julia (carries her grandmothers name.)
This information is from a relative that lives in Lebanon with her family,I can get more information shall you request more.I also knew that there is only one family or there might be another in some village in Lebanon,so ther aren't so many Shanbours in Lebanon like all the majority of families.
anyway you are welcome.
