Like most Kfarghabi's at that time - my Great Aunt Yumna left the family village around 1887 and went to live somewhere in Pennsylvania USA. The family name is "Maree" although that is more than likely the anglo saxon derivitive of the true lebanese name in the village. I do not know whether Yumna was single or married when she left kfarsghab, so her surname could have been Maree, another hybrid of Maree or something else altogether.
She hadbrothers, Massoud, Nemir and Zghir (Maree) who also left the village in the late 1880's and settled in Australia and New Zealand. Massoud Maree is my grandfather.
Yumna's parents were - father - Rooda (or Shora) and mother was Hesne.
I know there are a lot of Kfarsghabi descendants in Pennsylvania so i am hoping someone may be able to help me trace my great aunt Yumna.
