Your reply has really gotten me excited hoping that at last I might have found a link to my grandfather Pedro.
I've never seen a picture of him since he died when my mother was just a few days old supposedly.I believe he was dark complected, but not really sure. All I know is that he worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad.
It's funny that the name of Pedros daughter was Maria del Carmen since my grandmother who was married to Pedro was named Maria Luisa and her mothers name was Carmen.
I do have one picture that was sent to my grandmother from Hermosillo from Lupe Noriega who I think might have been Pedros sister.I have it on disc at home but can send it to you if you give me your email address. I would love to see a picture of Emilio to see if my mother and her sister resemble him.My home email address is:email@example.com
Do you live in Hermosillo? Besides the pic of Lupe, I have several old pictures with names on the back that were sent or given to my grandmother from there.I'm pretty sure that's where she was living when she met Pedro before going to Arizona. Her maiden name was Maria Luisa Gonzalez and her mother's maiden name was de la Garza. Carmen was the daughter of Melchor and Lucrecia Flores de la Garza and she married Jose Federico Gonzalez.
Is there anyway I can somehow check in Hermosillo for a death record for Pedro Noriega in 1930 or 31 if he was killed in a railroad accident en route to or from there?
Yes, PLEASE keep in touch.I'm so anxious to see the pic and learn whatever your mother or cousin might know about about Pedro. As I recall, my grandmother used to have an old guitar that was suppose to have been Pedro's so that sounds interesting too.
