The actual scan of their wedding record from the Norddal church books shows more clues as to the parents of the couple.
The couple is married June 10, 1866, and they are one of several couples married that day.The couple is entry 7, the third couple on the page. Translation:
10 June 1866, bachelor Lars Peter Olsen from Valdal farm, age 24, and single girl Elisabet Jonsdatter from Dalhus farm, age 25.
The groom is the son of farm owner Ole Elias Valdal. The bride is the daughter of farm owner John Thoresen Dalhus.
The column after the fathers' names I can't figure out.It think it refers to the location of the marriage. Then there is a column with three dates, that is when the Banns are read in the church, announcing the wedding.
