Callie, DOM & DOMB may have been written DA,B OR DA,MB, the "a" with a "nasalized vowel - a comma under the a" giving it an "own" sound! Similarly, an "e" with a comma under it gives the e an "an" or "on" sound!! So the names, DOMKOWSKI & DOMBKOWSKI,are often found as DA,KOWSKI or DA,BKOWSKI ! Confusing at least! In this country, DAbrowski became DAMbrowski & DOMbrowski ! I'll check Saturday! Address for "PolishRoots" is 2211 Ontario Rd.,NW,Washington D.C. 20009-2606 ! Are you anywhere near Chicago? If so, come to the Chicago Polish Museum/Library @ 984 N. Milwaukee/ Augusta & Ryan Expressway. Closed Thurs & Sundays! ALLARE WITAMY/Welcome!!
