You might want to add this excellent resource to your list:

There's also a cheap subscription website called Hungarian Village Finder and Gazetteer but as a subscriber to it, although it has all the Hungarian places with their current locations and names, I can tell you it does not have nearly as much information or as many indexes as the cd does.

As a semi-retired volunteer with too much free time on my hands :-) I've been using it everyday since I got it to try and help people find the places they are looking for (and no I don't have any connection to the lady who published it).After spending the last 12-15 years dabbling in Hungarian genealogy and spending way too much money on books, maps, and other stuff that ended up being virtually useless, I just found this cd to be one really incredible resource and it has hundreds of links to online websites to also help researchers.
