I am looking for the family history of two Romanian families from Nedlac and Igris, Romania. The Romanian/Hungarian names are Chisin and Belican.
Anelia Kish came to the US in 1921, with her father, Gregoire. Her name was actually spelled Emilia on the Ellis Island records, and their last name was actually Chisin. Gregoire came over first in 1914, and stayed until 1919, when he returned to their home town of Nedlac, Romania. He came back with EMilia in 1921, and the family story is that he 'sold' Emilia to Daniel Belinson. Emilia was born in 1903, and Gregoire was born circa 1878. Their destination in 1921 was Akron, Ohio.
Daniel Belinson came over in 1909, and the name on the Ellis Island records was Demeter Belican. His home town was Igris, Hungary (now Igris, Romania). He was married a few times before marrying Emilia. He was born in 1890, and his mother's name was Anna. His destination was Philadelphia, PA.
If anyone has more information on this line, please let me know!
